James B. Rivers

James B. Rivers was a Stone Mountain City policeman for thirty years, from 1956 to 1995. After his job as Police Chief, he worked for Stone Mountain. He lived in Stone Mountain until his death in 2018. Mr. Rivers was well-liked and respected by his peers. He was a modest man. If you were to ask him what it's like to have a street named after him, he probably would have told you that many others are more deserving of that honor.
