General Regulations

All Georgia State laws must be followed.

Disorderly or violent behavior, loud noises, intoxication, and illegal drugs prohibited.

Fires only allowed in designated areas.

No mountain climbing in restricted areas.

No hunting allowed.

No weapons allowed without license.

Metal detectors prohibited.

Offensive or inappropriate clothing prohibited.

Use of drones prohibited.

Pet Regulations

Dogs and cats must be under control and on a leash of six feet or less.

Clean up after your pets.

Animals not permitted in lakes, on golf courses, in buildings, on the walk-up trail, or in the songbird habitat.

Don't leave pets unattended in vehicles in summer.

Bicycle Regulations

Bicycling only allowed on paved roads, parking lots, and PATH trail.

Bicycles must have appropriate lights and reflectors at night.

Lake and Boating Regulations

Swimming in lakes is prohibited.

Pets are not allowed in lakes.

No wind surfing, water skiing, or personal watercraft.

Motorized vessels must be ten horsepower or less and must be appropriately registered.

Approved flotation devices required for every person.

No boating at night.

No overloaded vessels allowed.

Boats can only be launched from approved docks.

Boats must not exceed idle speed within 100 feet of other, stationary vessels, docks, or shorelines.

Children under 12 prohibited.

Children over 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Fishing Regulations

Valid Georgia fishing license required.

Fishing from bridges, docks, Evergreen Pavilion, golf course, and beaches prohibited.

No fishing between midnight and 6:00 AM.

Commercial fishing or buying or selling fish caught at Stone Mountain prohibited.

Only hooks and lines from single poles allowed.

Camping Regulations

Camping only in designated areas.

Quiet time from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Hanging clothes outside prohibited.

Alcoholic beverages prohibited.

No parking, mats, or rugs on grass.

Alcohol Regulations

Alcoholic beverages not permitted on streets, in parking lots, or in other posted areas.

No glass containers allowed.
