The carving at Stone Mountain honors all participants of the Civil War. It is also a monument to all those who participated in its creation.

Depicted on the carving, from left to right, are President Jefferson Davis, General Robert E. Lee, and General "Stonewall" Jackson.

They are shown on their favorite horses: Blackjack, Traveller, and Little Sorrel.
